St Matthew’s Church Hall is ideal for small events, celebrations and meetings. You can hire it for a single event, or for regular activities (including classes). It has an excellent kitchen, with range cooker, microwave and fridge (sorry, no freezer), and it can seat forty people for a meal, with tables, crockery and cutlery. There is level access, disabled parking and toilet, plus baby-changing facilities.
Although it is not licensed for public entertainment or the sale of alcohol, that doesn’t affect your private event. Bring your own sound, video, broadband. The hall is curtained for films and illustrated talks.
Regular activities need your own Public Liability Insurance and Safeguarding Plan.
We are near the A6/A38 junction, two miles north of Derby. The hall is boldly marked Fellowship Room, on the car park side of the church.
To enquire about the hall, and to make a booking, please contact David Halfpenny on 07813 275621 or email him on firstname.lastname@example.org. The rates are very reasonable, with a special price for a child’s party.
Here is the Fellowship Room from the outside, and hosting the Big Breakfast. David is the chap with the beard. Since taking this photo, the interior has been re-painted, and new curtains are in place.
