There is always a busy calendar of church services and social events at St Matthew’s and, in the monthly magazine, you will find advance notice of what is coming up, and illustrated reviews of what has happened in the recent past. All the principal contact details are in there for those who are responsible for the many church activities, and they will always welcome enquiries from anyone interested in taking part.
We also try to include articles of special interest to readers, whether they come to church regularly or not. So, for example, we published a series of articles on the First World War to mark the centenary and we are currently running a series on English cathedrals. Most articles are written by local people and we look out for village news as well, as the church is part of the community.
The magazine is issued each month except for August and September, which is a combined edition. We deliver to 265 addresses in the parish. By special request from those living further afield, we can also send issues by post. If you would like to receive the magazine, please contact one of the editors. It costs 60p per issue, £6 for a year’s subscription. If you would like to advertise in the magazine, the annual charges are £50 for a quarter-page, £100 for a half-page, or £200 for a full-page. Again, please contact the editors, who are
